A butt lift restores a firmer, more youthful shape by removing loose skin and excess fat. The procedure is suitable for people whose skin has stretched following weight loss or as a result of ageing and whose buttocks have lost firmness and definition. During surgery, excess skin and, where necessary, fatty tissue are removed from the upper or outer buttocks. The incision is positioned across the upper buttocks along the underwear line so that the scar remains concealed. The tissues are then tightened and the buttocks reshaped to create a smoother, lifted contour. The procedure takes up to three hours and is performed under general anaesthesia. A butt lift can be combined with liposuction or fat transfer to achieve a natural, balanced contour.

A butt lift is performed under general anaesthesia. The patient usually stays in the clinic for one night for observation to ensure a safe and comfortable recovery.
A compression garment is worn for up to six weeks after surgery to reduce swelling and support tissue healing. Swelling and bruising usually subside within two weeks. During the first few days, prolonged sitting should be avoided, and you should sleep on your stomach or side. You can return to work after 10–14 days. The final result develops within eight weeks.
Temporary swelling, tenderness and numbness are common. In rare cases, wound discharge, thickened scars or mild asymmetry can occur. Smoking and strenuous exercise should be avoided during healing to support tissue repair and reduce the risk of complications.
