Purpose of the procedure

Male intimate surgery corrects aesthetic or functional concerns that can affect confidence, intimate wellbeing and physical comfort. Procedures can include correction of the shape or length of the penis, skin tightening, fat transfer or removal of scar tissue following injury, surgery or age-related changes. Course of the procedure

The specific procedure depends on the patient’s needs and treatment goals. Common procedures include:

• Correction of penile skin or scar tissue, such as following circumcision or previous trauma
• Fat transfer or augmentation of the subcutaneous tissue to improve shape or volume
• correction of penile length or angle
• Liposuction of the pubic area (mons pubis) to increase the visible length of the penis

The operation usually takes up to two hours and is performed under general anaesthesia or, where necessary, local anaesthesia. The patient can go home on the same day or the following morning.

During the consultation, we will assess the patient’s anatomy and the condition of the skin and tissues and discuss their expectations. Together with you, we will determine the most suitable surgical option and the result that can realistically be achieved. Anaesthesia

The procedure is performed under general or local anaesthesia, depending on the nature of the surgery. After a brief period of observation, the patient can go home on the same day.

Recovery and aftercare

Swelling and tenderness for up to five days are common after the operation. You can return to work after five to seven days. Sexual intercourse should be avoided for four to six weeks, until the area has fully healed. The final result develops within two months, once the swelling has subsided.

Possible side effects and risks

Temporary swelling, bruising and tenderness are common. In rare cases, asymmetry, changes in sensation or scarring can occur. All potential risks and the measures used to reduce them will be discussed in detail before the operation.
